Protecting Homes and Trees with Expert Care

Last Updated 10/2/2024

At Earnest Tree Service, we pride ourselves on providing expert solutions for tree care and removal, no matter the size or complexity of the job. This was a larger job involving a large White Oak tree that posed a significant risk to a customer’s home. The tree was in danger of falling on the home. Here’s how we approached this challenging job and ensured both the safety of the home and the health of the remaining trees.

The Challenge: A Large White Oak in Danger

The central focus of this project was a large White Oak tree that had become structurally unsound. The tree's proximity to the home made it a serious threat, especially in high winds or storms. We knew that quick and careful action was necessary to prevent a potentially dangerous situation.

Our Approach: Tree Removal, Canopy Cleanup, and Preventative Measures

Our first priority was to safely take down the White Oak tree that was threatening the home. We used expert removal techniques to ensure the job was done safely and efficiently, without causing any damage to the customer’s property.

In addition to the White Oak, we removed a few smaller trees that were either damaged or crowding the landscape. By addressing these trees, we improved the overall health of the surrounding trees and enhanced the property’s appearance.

We also took the opportunity to clean out and raise the canopy on several other large Oak trees. Raising the canopy involves trimming lower branches to improve the tree's structure, promote better light penetration, and reduce the risk of future damage. This helps the trees remain healthy and vibrant while minimizing the risk of broken limbs in storms.

Installing Cables to Prevent Splitting

Another important aspect of this job was the installation of support cables on a second large White Oak tree located behind the home. The tree had a weak point, making it prone to splitting. Installing cables is a preventative measure that helps support the tree’s structure, reducing the risk of splitting and prolonging the tree’s lifespan. This approach allows homeowners to enjoy the beauty and shade of mature trees while minimizing potential hazards.
